Our farm
We are are so lucky to rent 8 acres of beautiful pasture at the base of the Black Mountains, Bannau
Brycheiniog National Park, near Hay on Wye. We have built a small, agroecological farm from the ground up with no chemicals, lots of love and the help of our three house cows, three horses, lots of volunteers and pets. We have grown the most beautiful, rich soil to feed a thriving mini no-dig market garden and are currently supplying around 20 households, shops and cafes with nutritionally dense and delicious salads, veg and herbs. We hope to continue expanding our garden and our offerings over the coming seasons!

Salad & Veg
We send out our list of veg from the garden every Monday via Whatsapp and deliver it direct to your door on Tuesday evening! Minimum spend £10 for delivery or £5 for collection from the farm, and there is never an obligation to order.
We also have an honesty shop at the farm gate, restocked on Tuesday evenings and open Wednesday and Thursday. Google maps location here

Volunteering
We are so lucky to have a fanatastic Assistant Grower/ long term volunteer staying in the Shepard's Hut on site this season. We will be openning this position again neaxt year and also have space for WWOOFers/ HelpXers in our lovely bell tent. Or just come join us on a Tuesday and learn a bit about market gardening at a small scale!
Our herd
We adore caring for our herd of house cows and horses including Frankie (cob cross mare), Orion (ISH gelding), Blackberry (Section D gelding), Lizzie (Jersey cow), Matilda (Jersey cow) and Bronwen (Jersey X Dexter cow). We practice natural horsemanship techniques on everybody and love going for walks out into the hills with the horses. We have milked the cows using cow calf methods but they are not currently in milk. Aside from the therapeutic gifts they offer us, they also help us to manage our pasture, secure our barn planning permission and provide invaluable fertility for the garden.
Roundhouse
Last year we set ourselves the challenge of building a strawbale roudhouse in 40 hours... we kind of did but the roof blew off over the winter, the bales got wet and we are still working on it now... ;-D
A great learning experience! And it is already a much needed resource as a (half built) communal kitchen. Looking forward to working on it more and enjoying the new found experience of allowing the building design to evolve over time.
Events & Education
We love hosting land based events, courses and workshops on the land and have already worked with Lets Get Growing CIC and School of Natural Building on collaborative events. We have another workshop coming up on 29th-30th August 2026, more info here.
We also can't wait to host a Land Workers Alliance Summer Gathering on 19th September 2026!
