How I can help
My aim is to inspire, empower and enable communities, families and individuals to create a lifestyle for themselves that will help to make them happy. I have a strong design background working closely with teams of clients and professionals to build beautiful projects that meet many peoples' needs and requirements. I naturally prefer to listen closely and observe a situation in depth before responding, rather than imposing external ideas.
I love to help people manifest their dreams.
I work in many ways and have enjoyed some freedom from the monetary economy by volunteering and apprenticing around the world. If you are less able to give money in return for services but more able to part exchange things such as learning opportunities, accomodation and food for my services then do contact me to enquire. Note that there are many creative ways to generate income and labour for building projects such as holding work parties, teaching workshops and inviting work traders/ WWOOFERs. I would be more than happy to advise you on these and help coordinate them appropriately!

Building and mentoring

I can help you build your project; be it a house, an oven, a sculptural bench or a landscaping feature. I have experience creating beautiful, healthy earthen buildings and finishing to a high specification with natural materials.
I greatly enjoy construction and believe that you should have the opportunity to do so too. I can help to mentor you through your building project; assisting with programming, site organisation, material aquisition and guiding you through the various techniques as the project progresses.
Workshops

I can help you to generate man-power and even funds for your project by organising and teaching a workshop, leading a work party and/ or managing work traders and WWOOFERs. I have experience leading and assisting with workshops spanning from 3 hours to 3 months and working with volunteers all around the world.
I believe strongly that people are intuitively able to use natural materials and aim to encourage and empower them to find that skill within themselves. This can be very liberating for many aspects of life, not just building! Therefore, workshops are fun, enriching and informative, but quiet observation of ourselves and the materials is also encouraged. The principles of permaculture are often applied.
Design Consultancy

I can help you design your dream home. I am fortunate to be in a position where I have ten years experience in design but also an intimate knowledge of natural building materials and various techniques. This enables me to make practical, grounded, well informed design decisions which are also carefully planned and beautifully ochestrated.
I have experience helping clients from the siting and feasibility stage right through design, planning, development, contract management, site supervision and completion.
